The Biofach and Vivaness events took place in February and impressed with almost 36,000 trade visitors from 135 countries. Despite lower frequencies compared to previous years, the quality of contacts was rated as high and deepened. The extensive congress program was offered mostly online, which increased global reach. The Biofach organizers showed resilience during the crisis and underpinned this with a turnover of 15.3 billion euros in the German organic market and 125 billion euros globally. The Swiss Pavilion, the official Swiss joint stand, confirmed the overall positive result, although customer traffic decreased towards the end of the fair. The organic industry is finding its footing and organic will slowly and gradually revive in the coming months.
